A candidate for admission to the Ph.D Degree Course shall have:

Academic Requirement:

• The candidate having a Master’s Degree in any discipline through regular stream with a minimum of 55% or equivalent grade (50% of marks or its equivalent grade in case of SC/ST/SAP) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University through regular stream shall be eligible for admission;
• The candidate having passed the Company Secretaryship examination conducted by the ICS in India and been awarded Associate Membership of the Institute (ACS) and having a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University through regular stream shall be eligible for admission;
• The candidate having passed the Chartered Accountants examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants and been awarded Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and having a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University through regular stream shall be eligible for admission.
• Master of Business Laws (MBL) from NLSIU with minimum CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 4.00.
• Candidate securing not less than 50% marks on the aggregate will qualify for making an oral presentation before the panel of experts on the date specified by the University.
• The candidate will be selected by the P.G. Council upon consideration of the research proposal and the report submitted by the expert panel on the oral presentation.
• There shaal be a written test for admission.

Entrance Exam:

They must qualify one of the exam: UGC NET / JRF, SLET.

NOTE: A separate ADMISSION TEST shall be conducted to the candidates who have qualified for UGC NET / JRF, SLET, M.PHIL and Foreign Nationals.

Re-submission of thesis: Rs. 20,000/- (For Indian Nationals)
