The registration process for admission in Delhi University is likely to commence from June 2020. However, this time there will be no trials for sports and Extra- Curricular activities (ECA) due to COVID-19 crisis.

A meeting of the standing committee on admission held on June 9, 2020, decided that the Delhi University registration window for all the courses will be open from June 20, 2020 to July 4, 2020.

After the declaration of result by CBSE, the second window of registration will be opened for updation of marks.

Delhi University Cutoff is likely to be announced in the month of August. No admission will be done in ECA except for NCC and NSS and that will also be done on the basis of certificates.

One of the DU professors said that the entire admission process will be online, students will not have to visit colleges.

The documents which are bonafide and once submitted online for admission, cannot be rejected later, unless it is forged.

“The committee have to also ensure that any discrepancy in the spelling of name or missing of surname in the certificates of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD shall be verified from their other certificates rather than rejecting their admission." said a professor

If the college requires any information they can contact students via phone or email. The committee also decided that caste certificates need not be renewed and only renewal of income certificates will be required. That means the caste certificate can be older, whereas the income certificate should be the latest.

Dr. Arun Kumar Attree, Academic Council member, recommended that no fees, especially cancellation fee of INR100/- should be charged from SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD.

Attree also suggested that three free movements must be allowed to the disadvantaged students without cancellation fee. However the committee did not agree to his recommendations.
